Maturities are special records to the Documentary Records, through which the user can define oncoming or pending payments for a documentary operation. They are helpful tools in the hands of the bank expert to plan the work on a Documentary Record but they have no restrictive function - a maturity record can not prevent or cause an automatic payment or other kind of financial operation.

Maturity records in BINETIX PTM can be assigned to three types of actions:

a.Payment of a fixed amount;

b.Deferred payment on partial or full amount;

c.Payment of recurring fee.

For each maturity record,specified amount and maturity date must be indicated. The System does not place limitations on the entered date (current, future or past) because practice sometimes requires records be created to a Documentary Record for information or awareness.

BINETIX PTM System provides opportunities for active control over maturity records through which a documentary expert can monitor for upcoming and missed events as well as mark maturities for completed.

The diagram shows the typical transitions between maturity conditions. Newly created maturities are marked in status "Registered".

Several practical scenarios for using the maturity management functionality of Documentary Records are addressed in the description below:

▪The way of working through Documentary Record screens is described;

▪There is an example of automated creation of maturity record when filling in a "Payment order";

▪The main functionality of the "Maturity Dates planner", called "Maturity planner", is presented.

The standard approach for managing maturity records is through the detailed information screen of the Documentary Record.

It is enough to select the "Maturity" option in the Record "Main Data" section and you will get access the maturity working screen.

On this working screen, you have several control buttons and a table, where are described the defined maturities to the  Documentary Record:

1)You can create a new maturity record or delete an existing one;

2)By just clicking a button you can change the working status of a maturity. You have a free choice between the three maturity statuses described above.

Note that besides the mandatory details for Type, Date and Amount, you can also enter a short description and use it as a hint or additional information about the maturity record. Additionally, the System visualizes detailed information that can be changed during the processing of the record, for example when creating a maturity by Order.

In order to provide convenience and faster control of operations, the System offers the possibility of automatically registering a new maturity record to a Documentary Record with the processing of Payment Orders.

The example below illustrates a way to describe a new maturity date 20.06.2019 when filling in a Payment Order to a Bank Collection (import). Upon writing the Order, the "Maturity" field date + the amount of the Order will be used to create a new maturity record in the Documentary Record of type Payment Order.

Notes:

▪The field "Maturity" is a help and is not a requisite of a selected Order. For this reason, the field will always be empty after selecting an Order from the list of already entered Orders ;

▪Filling in the field "Maturity" is a sign to the System that you want to create a new maturity record. Be cautious. Fill it when you know what you want to achieve;

▪The field "Maturity" is not a requisite of the Order, and has nothing to do with the field "Date of value"(Valor). Do not confuse the two fields - the value date is used together with the entered amount and currency when performing financial transactions (accounting and SWIFT), the maturity is used to create a new Maturity record.

The Maturity Diary, commonly referred to as "Maturity", is a specialized report for reviewing all maturities in all Documentary Records.

The report allows for more precise filtering by reference number, status, payment channel, and period.

Additionally, Maturity Diary allows you to view the details of the Documentary Record to which it is registered only by double-clicking the selected record.
